The Life, Death and Resurrection of Fred Irving…

tells the story of retired bus driver, Fred Irving, as he sets out to fulfill his life’s dream: circumnavigating the globe in a canoe.

The writers and directors of the mockumentary, Riley Bradford and Tate Becherer, approached me about creating a poster for them and gave me free reign to do whatever I wanted with it. The titular character, Fred Irving, had an almost child like nature to him, which was something I wanted to portray in the poster, hence the crayon drawing.

All of the line work was done in Illustrator, before being colored in with a crayon brush I made in Photoshop. After that I printed off a copy, crumpled it up and proceeded to take photos of it with some props. All that was needed after that was some basic color correction and the credits.
